Description
This piece is about contrast and color. The inspiration was the wonderful
piece of Lake Michigan sea glass that forms the central point. The two flames
are sterling silver, with one featuring 24K gold keum boo and the other a unique
patina and forge texturing. Two diamonds (.25 ct tw) are set in tube settings
to balance and add a bit of additional fire to the piece.
Keum boo is an ancient process of applying very thin sheets of 24K gold to
sterling silver and using heat to fuse them together. This piece actually has
4 layers of gold to give both depth of color and the texture you see.
It is strung on a black 7-strand stainless steel cable.
