I\'ve always loved the freedom of experimentation -- creating the unexpected in color, shape and texture. In sculpture, using traditional materials in unexpected ways can yield surprising and compelling results.
The Grunge series grew out of this type of experimentation with silver. Using both sterling (.925 pure) and fine (.999 pure) silver in tiny \"serendipitous\" shapes, I worked with fusing, heat texturing, and patinas to find each piece\'s unique beauty.
Each piece is completely unique and can never be exactly reproduced. They feature beautiful textures and shapes, accented with iridescent colors that surprise the eyes. When viewed in different light or from different angles, these pieces assume new characteristics. As a result, they can be worn casually or more formally.
